The Jupiter String Quartet consists of violinists Mélanie Clapiès and Meg Freivogel, violist Liz Freivogel (Meg's older sister), and cellist Daniel McDonough (Meg's husband). Founded in 2001, the ensemble has spent more than two decades touring and performing in some of the world's finest concert halls, including New York City's Carnegie Hall and  Lincoln Center, Boston's Jordan Hall, London's Wigmore Hall, Mexico City's Palacio de Bellas Artes, the Seoul Sejong Chamber Hall, and Washington DC's Kennedy Center and Library of Congress. They have taught at the University of Illinois since 2012, and perform several times a year at the beautiful Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Their latest album is "Undreamed Shores", released this month on Orchid Classics.
